What’s New in Sourcing

CXR's Members In Sourcing Gathered Last Month To Discuss Their Current Sourcing Challenges, Approaches to DE&I, and Career Pathing for Sourcers

Last month, our CXR Sourcing Community gathered to discuss their current challenges, with a presentation from the team at Danaher on their DE&I efforts and ServiceNow on career pathing for the sourcing community. Some highlights from these interactive discussions include:

A shared challenge for our CXR members in sourcing is a notable change in candidate mindset. With many candidates entertaining multiple offers at a given time, there is a marked decrease in engagement and responsiveness.

With the expansion of technology tools within the talent acquisition space, some members have experienced challenges with automation tools and communication fatigue for candidates.

The team at Danaher has been making progress with their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) efforts since 2017. With the first two years dedicated to planning and establishing processes, they launched their DE&I sourcing in 2019 and a social activator initiative in 2020. An internally-built training program provided leaders, managers, and TA teams across the organization with guidance on how to activate their social media profiles for sourcing talent. Today, they track KPIs and metrics to measure their direct and indirect sourcing channels.

A presentation from ServiceNow on career pathing for sourcers helped demonstrate that sourcing doesn’t have to be a stepping stone to full-cycle recruitment. For our CXR members in sourcing and research, this presentation isn’t to be missed.
