Is TikTok the Future of Recruiting?

Exploring the latest trend in early career and college recruiting

Could TikTok be the next big thing in recruiting? For early career and college recruiting, it may already be. As social media continues to dominate communication and networking – especially for Gen Z – many companies are turning to TikTok and influencers as part of their recruitment strategy.

A recent article by CNBC highlighted the ways companies are expanding their recruiting reach on social media. While many companies are already increasing their corporate presence on TikTok, the most creative strategists are developing influencer partnerships or supporting their employees in producing individual content.

Influencer partnerships as part of a recruitment strategy can be an excellent way for companies to promote their employer brand, increase their visibility, and reach a greater candidate pool. Influencers can be tasked to create engaging content showcasing the company’s culture, values, and mission. This content can then be used to attract potential candidates, who already have a sense of trust and familiarity with the influencer.

At our Campus Recruiting meeting on February 8th, we discussed creative recruiting strategies like these and more. CXR members can check out the recording in our library. And be sure to check out the full source article here.
