Not its first event in the United States, but certainly gaining momentum, UNLEASH recently delivered a unique conference that simultaneously delivered both a macro and micro content and networking feel to participants. It was my pleasure to have contributed by delivering a 20-minute rapid fire session on the “Pulse of Recruiting Technology” (click to download.) Other TED-style deliveries, as well as full presentations, came from well-known speakers, authors, and industry influencers like Josh Bersin (Principal and Founder, Bersin by Deloitte), Rachel Botsman (Author, Who Can You Trust?), and Mo Gawdat (Founder at onebillionhappy), just to name a few.

The UNLEASH team did a tremendous job of bringing to the United States an event that differentiates itself enough from the others that it’s worth talent acquisition and HR leaders and influencers to attend without feeling the need to cross other events off of their calendars. The level of decision-makers and smartly curated trade show floor combined with an event team that really seems to care about every attendee’s experience makes UNLEASH a stand-out event in every market. Additionally, there was no shortage of industry personalities and influencers, hungry startup companies on the tradeshow floor, and interactive sessions like the Startup Competition hosted by Laurie Ruettimann and won by Jess Von Bank of Clickboarding.
Like any other recruiting or HR conference, the time spent out of the office is exactly what you make of it. So as the topic of recruiting automation and A.I. in talent acquisition continues to mature, there was a welcome evolution of the ongoing conversations with both smaller organizations and enterprise leaders alike. We’ll be seeing more of the UNLEASH team in October when we re-visit the conference crew and their next line-up of speakers and personalities in Amsterdam. Until then, we hope that both our members and readers alike will keep an eye on this well-delivered conference as it continues to evolve under the direction of Marc Coleman (UNLEASH Founder & CEO), China Gorman (UNLEASH Managing Director, US), and the countless invisible souls behind the scenes that work hard to make conferences like this a reality in our space.
