For over twenty years CareerXroads has created a fun community for talent acquisition and recruiting leaders from around the world to connect, collaborate, and even conspire, on recruiting-related topics that keep them up at night. And whether conversations with these leaders and influencers were taking place at live colloquium events, various conferences, over the phone, online, or an occasional fancy dinner and bottle of wine, one thing has always been certain: something magical was happening for the professionals participating in the conversation.
That’s why it only made sense to celebrate our 100th live colloquium meeting at Walt Disney World, a magical place staffed and managed by the remarkable leadership of The Walt Disney Company. With nearly 75 companies already registered to attend, as well as numerous talent acquisition leadership alumni and guests from over the years, we couldn’t be happier to share a few more details around this exciting milestone as we shake things up a bit.
Attendees will join us at Walt Disney World on October 18th for a welcome reception that’s followed by our adventurous kick-off dinner being held “under the sea”. On the 19th we have a full agenda planned with two moderated panels and speakers, collaborative exercises defined by our members, and a surprise or two for attendees. That evening our members will “explore the world” at dinner when taken through Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival (park access included) followed by a VIP Disney escort to dessert and fireworks viewing. Our final day of the meeting on the 20th will include leadership workshop exercises, member-led competitive practice sharing, and guest speaker and chief economist, Josh Wright.
This colloquium meeting is a focused session on today’s talent landscape, hot leadership topics, the sharing of competitive practices within enterprise organizations, and a celebration of the community that CareerXroads helps to foster and deliver to its members and the industry.
